| Description | The King of Wake Series and FUEL TV bring together the sport's top events and series in one ultimate season-long points chase featuring the best riders from around the world. The World Cup Series consists of the five stops on the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, the Air Nautique Wake Games, the WWA National Championships, and the WWA World Championships. Competition will be fierce as the pro men's rider crowned King of Wake will take home $25,000 - the largest cash bonus in the history of the sport. New to the competition this year is the 2008 Queen of Wake Series, presented by Mona Vie. For the first time, pro women will compete on tour alongside the men in their own points chase for $10,000 in prize money. Last season, Longwood, Florida's Phillip Soven won nearly every contest he competed in, including the 2007 Wake Games. His impressive string of wins crowned him the 2007 King of Wake, a title last year's runner up, Rusty Malinoski, wants to claim in 2008. |
