| Description | Court TV's Masterminds originated on January 1, 2002, as a four-part miniseries about real-life master criminals and their "perfect" crimes. The series recounted and reenacted famous burglaries, forgeries, art thefts, smuggling operations, and kidnappings, all so brilliantly conceived that they very nearly succeeded -- only to be thwarted by the expected "fatal flaws" that their oh-so-clever perpetrators had overlooked. Later expanded into a weekly, half-hour series which was cablecast on both Court TV and History Channel, Masterminds entered over-the-air TV syndication the week of September 23, 2006. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide |
